Request or Cancel a Tee Time

To Request a Tee Time

For Members: Please sign in and go to the Event/Weekly Signup page. For each scheduled event, this page will show whether you are "In" or "Out". Simply click the "In" or "Out" link to toggle your status.

For Non-Members: We strongly encourage you to create an account on TekGolf.org. There is no fee to create an account, although there is a $2 per round guest fee to play.

If you still are opposed to creating an account and want to play a round with us, send an email to Tek-Rec-Golf@tek.com and indicate your tee time preference and any requested pairings and we will try to accommodate your request.

IMPORTANT: If you opted in, and have been assigned a tee time, please show up. We have a limited number of tee times and if you sign-up and do not show, you may be depriving someone else of playing. If you sign-up and cannot make it, please cancel as early as possible, and no later than 9am on the day of play.

How are sign ups determined?

If you have specified a schedule preference of "Full Season", and this is a normal Thursday event, then you are automatically signed up to play. If you have a "Week-to-Week" preference, then you must 'opt-in' to be put on the schedule.

For non-regular events, all players must specifically 'opt-in' to play.

What if I have some changes to my normal schedule preferences?

When you first signup, you can specify your normal season preferences (e.g. early tee time, tee preference, playing parters). If you want to change those preferences for a single week, go to the Event/Weekly Signup page and click on the . Here you can specify any special requests to the scheduler. We will try to accommodate as many requests as practical during the scheduling process.

To Cancel a Tee Time

If you have previously indicated you will play the event and have to cancel, simply go to the Event/Weekly Signup page and toggle your status.

Last Minute Cancellations:

If it is after 9:00am on the day of play, you will need to call the golf course where play is scheduled and let them know that you will not be playing today.
After you have contacted the golf course send an email to Tek-Rec-Golf@tek.com stating that you can not play and that you have already contacted the golf course.
As a courtesy to others in your foursome, we suggest that you let them know as well.

2010 All Members Annual Meeting - February 18

Hello TekGolf Members!

We hope the Fall and Winter seasons have treated you well.

All Members Annual Meeting

As required by the Tektronix Golf League bylaws, we will be holding the All Members Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 18, 2009 in the Bldg 50 Auditorium here at Tektronix. Everyone is welcome to attend (non-Tek
employees will need to get a visitor badge from the receptionist), including current and new members.

The meeting will start at Noon and last about 45 minutes. We will be reviewing the state of the club from last year, and announcing our plans for this upcoming 2010 season. Current members will also be voting for the 2010 Tektronix Golf League Board members. Please considering attending as your input and suggestions are what make the League better and better each year.

Renewing memberships, new members joining, and all League related information will be available.

Updating Mailing Lists

If your email address has changed (or is going to change), please let Dale know directly. He maintains both mailing lists and can update your email address quickly. If you wish to no longer receive updates regarding the Tektronix Golf League, please let him know that too.

Changes to the Tee Time Scheduling Process

The TekGolf.org web site will now be used for scheduling weekly tee times. This is a self-serve scheduling process where you enter in which dates you are playing or not playing. We will be demonstrating this process during the All Members Annual meeting on February 18, 2010.

2010 Tektronix Golf Board Members Nominations Needed

Due to half the 2009 TekGolf Board members no longer being on the Tek campus, we are opening up nominations for current TekGolf Members to join the Board.

The Board meets once per month to plan the special events and provide a means for the members to communicate their needs and concerns.

Please submit your name to me to be included on the ballot at the All Members Annual Meeting. Specific Board job duties will be determined at the March TekGolf Board meeting by the elected Board members.

Makes you Proud to be a Golfer

Stand proud you noble swingers of clubs and losers of balls.... A recent study found the average golfer walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud.

Almost feel like a hybrid.

Tiger Woods Holiday Poem

Twas the night of Thanksgiving and out of the house
Tiger Woods came a flyin', chased by his spouse.

She wielded a nine iron and wasn't too merry,
Cause a bimbo?s phone number was in his Blackberry.

He?d been cheatin' on Elin, and the story progressed.
Woman after woman stepped up and confessed.

He?d been cheatin? with Holly, and Jaimee, and Cori,
With Joselyn, and Kalika. The world had the story.

From the top of the Tour to the basement of blues,
Tiger?s sad sordid tale was all over the news.

With hostesses, waitresses, he had lots of sex,
When not in their pants, he was sendin' them texts.

Despite all his cryin? and beggin' and pleadin',
Tiger?s wife went investin' -- a new home in Sweden.

And I heard her exclaim from her white Escalade,
"If you?re gettin' laid then I?m gettin' paid."

She?s not pouting, in fact, she is of jolly good cheer,
Her prenup made Christmas come early this year.
